Smoking

Years ago smoking was considered elegant ➖and its popularity grew so much that kids were picking up the habit in their teenage years!

Nowadays the facts about smoking and its effect on our health is widely known and acknowledged.

Smoking and other tobacco products can lead to gum disease by affecting the attachment of bone and soft tissue to your teeth.

This interference makes smokers more susceptible to infections, such as periodontal disease, and can also impair blood flow to the gums – which may affect wound healing and mask signs of disease. Smoking also increases the risk of dry socket after tooth extraction, failure of dental implants and oral cancer.

Make this season the time to kick the habit!
